25 FEBRUARY 2019 David visits the Discovery Center with Auburn University’s Landscape Architecture students to check out Fairmount Park.

12 FEBRUARY 2019 David came out to Hale County to have a conversation about creating a flexible ground condition and “bushes” with the Moundville Pavilion at Rural Studio.

22 NOVEMBER 2018 David is off to Quito, Ecuador to participate in the 2018 PanAmerican Biennial of Architecture. In addition to serving as a jury member for the bi-annual design competition, David is also delivering two talks, one about Preservation Park and 274 Bragg Ave, and the other titled “ENGAGING TIME: Local Stories, Site Histories, and Regional Phenologies” that describes the design approach of the studio.

06 NOVEMBER 2018 We’re off to Faunsdale, Alabama to lend a helping hand to Rural Studio’s Faunsdale Community Center crew. Fifteen Redbud trees [Cercis canadensis] arrive today at the community center to be planted into a sweet grove. If you’re in the area, bring a shovel!
